Alexandra Heÿn advises businesses in all areas of IP law, with particular focus on copyright and publishing law (including the law of collecting societies), as well as competition, trademark and design law. Her main practice areas include advising in connection with license agreements as well as litigation, in particular preliminary injunction proceedings. Another focus of her practice is the development of comprehensive trademark strategies. This includes assisting with national and international registration, objection and other official proceedings, defence and portfolio management.

Alexandra Heÿn studied law at the University of Passau as well as music (majoring in harp) at the Conservatoire de Région de Nice and the Mozarteum Salzburg. She has been practicing as a lawyer since 2003 and is a specialist lawyer for copyright and media law (Fachanwältin für Urheber- und Medienrecht). Before founding AMPERSAND in 2012 with Hosea Haag and two other partners, she worked for a major international law firm and was a partner in an IP boutique.
