Susanne Schmidt specializes in advising clients on trademark and design law as well as competition law. Her expertise includes the development and management of extensive trademark portfolios, strategic advice to clients on trademark and design applications, as well as out-of-court and in-court representation in conflict cases. She advises domestic and foreign clients and, in the field of trade mark law, also advises on questions of the protection of work titles and domain law. In addition, she regularly advises clients on licensing and R&D agreements.

Ms Schmidt studied law at the University of Regensburg with a focus on international and European law. She was admitted to the bar in 2007; since 2011 she has been awarded as a specialist lawyer in intellectual property law. Before becoming a partner at AMPERSAND in 2021, she worked for many years at a large patent and law firm in Munich (most recently as a partner).

Ms Schmidt is a member of GRUR, INTA and ECTA, where she deals in particular as a committee member with questions of harmonization of law at the European level.
